JOLYON COLLIER
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
Jolyon's life has included immense artistry, surfing, diving, and a deep connection to the ocean. With over thirty years of experience as an architect and contractor, he has a comprehensive skill set that includes building operations, cost management, precise project timeline execution, and unique craftsmanship tailored for ocean and reef conservation. Jolyon designs and creates the Sculptural Coral Gene Banks.
BROOKE TRUE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Having acquired expertise in branding, graphic design, and business strategy, Brooke aims to propel the growth of Counting Coral, with a mission to elevate global awareness through innovative and engaging strategies. In her multifaceted role, she oversees daily operations, spearheads content creation, fosters partnerships, and leads fundraising initiatives. Her dynamic approach ensures
a broad impact across all areas of the organization.
gaia hinds
MARINE BIOLOGIST - LEAD INSTALLER
Gaia is a marine biologist, scuba/free diver and ocean activist that has gained her vast knowledge of the marine world from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. She has also attained expertise in the water from working as an ocean lifeguard and educator for nearly a decade. All these skills are utilized in her pursuit to aid our oceans and educate the public alongside Counting Coral. Gaia has been instrumental in installing both installations as well as the planting of the coral.
LIONEL DAWSON
TREASURER
Driven by a profound love for the planet, Lionel brings with him over three decades of experience in executive corporate positions and running businesses. He played a pivotal role in establishing the initial business framework and now implements meticulous financial
tracking systems for Counting Coral. Lionel oversees financial management, ensuring proper record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting, to support the organization's goals.
JONNY DAWSON
DIRECTOR OF SCIENCE
Jonny is a professional environmentalist, specializing in project management and impact assessments. ​With an educational background in Marine Biology, he holds experience in working and managing research projects for non-profit organizations which practice in biodiversity and conservation management. Jonny's work involves overseeing and implementing ESG strategies, and ensures alignment with high sustainability standards.
HOLLIE-DEE HODGSON
ADVISOR
Hollie pulls from a background in marketing and business operations to advise Counting Coral on their brand strategy. She utilizes her skillset to bring increased awareness of the environmental and social impact of coral degradation, crafting campaigns that engage diverse audiences and drive action. Her passion for ocean conservation fuels her efforts to create lasting change through innovative communication and strategic partnerships.
VIOLA ZHANG
SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER
Viola is a bioengineer and material scientist working at the intersection of conservation and bio-integrated design. She aims to use her interdisciplinary knowledge to raise awareness and expand impactful efforts for ecological and societal sustainability. Viola employs a scientifically grounded approach to integrate new technological insights to advance Counting Coral's initiatives.

Valerie boasts a diverse background encompassing both the legal field and a proven track record as a successful business owner. Her expertise in law serves as a crucial foundation for advising on matters related to Counting Coral and undertaking necessary legal actions. Her business acumen enhances strategic decision-making within the organization, relative to both legal and long-term decisions.

FELIX NAVARRETE
LEAD FABRICATOR - LEAD INSTALLER
Felix brings years of construction expertise as a skilled worker and welder. He has contributed to various significant projects, including maintenance for the Blue Lagoon project, and both welding and assembly for the Vomo Project. Currently, Felix is engaged in the development of the third park.
LAISENIA ROKOUA
MARINE BIOLOGIST - VOMO PARK MANAGER
- INSTALLER
Laisenia is a marine biologist, experienced diver, and a local from Fiji. He serves at Vomo Island as their marine biologist, turtle expert, tour guide, and park manager for the Vomo project. Lai's passion and extensive experience greatly contribute to the project's success and value.

BLUE LAGOON PARK MANAGER - BOAT CAPTAIN - INSTALLER
Eparama, a native of Nacula Island—home to the pioneering sculptural coral gene bank—manages and maintains the park at that location. In addition to his park duties, Para serves as the boat captain for the team in Fiji, overseeing all transportation needs and assisting with installations at Vomo Island.
